Hoy, y'all! If you've been wondering what I've been up to as of late, well this is a lot of it!

Journey though a Lovecraftian nightmare world, filled with evil creatures and cultists worshiping dark ancient powers, and battle giant bosses using mystical runic powers. The game includes over 10 original compositions, 7 sets of CGs totally 24 pictures, 20 enemies with H-animations, 3 bosses, and 7 unique areas.

The demo allows you to play up to the first boss, and includes a handful of enemies and CGs. However, the full game has much more to offer!

I upgraded to GMStudio for this update! Major improvements to the wall jumping mechanics, and general compatiblity improvement. Also a size reduction and performance boost!

Here it is! V0.3! It has all the H-animations available in the demo and a few simple improvements. Handful of things that made the game better that I can't remember to list them all.

Anyway, please take a look at it and let me know what you think of it! The game should be launching in a couple of weeks, so please consider buying a copy when it comes out! :)

Couple weeks without an update so here's another! I finished up building all the levels today, so I was close to my goal. Some procrastination, but a lot of doing other things.

If anyone is interested part of what I'm doing is starting a YouTube channel with a buddy of mine. We're making Let's Plays and doing commentary where we insult each other and the like. If that sounds entertaining, please sub to us. Or if not, just to make me happy, sub. We're just starting out, but we're planning on releasing a video every day!

If that shit gets decently popular, then we can monetize our channel and that'll be another source of income to help keep me from an actual job and able to program more games and maybe even go back to animating flash games sometimes!

Anyway, back to Nagai Yamiji! I've got all the levels made, and there's over a 100 of them! That shit took some time!

I should be putting out a demo at some point in the near future, so look out for that. I'll also be starting an actual blog where I'll post future updates and actually release the game. Not thinking I'll be making it to the June 15th date I hoped before, but I'm still shooting for a June release.

Nagai Yamiji Update #4

It's been a while since my last update, so here's another!

Since the last update I've make some corrections to a lot of things, the lighting works better for example.

I've also added the spells, fire effects for the torches, the leveling/stat system, a hud and upgrade menu, a save/load system, made most of the first two bosses, and I've started building the actual levels. Also probably some stuff I'm forgetting...

So far I've built the first area, the Caves, and the second area, the Hall (well I'm actually finished that today). Remaining is the Sanctum, the Tower, the Courtyard, the Sewers, and the Catacombs. Longest part of building levels is placing the tiles everywhere... takes even longer than testing everything, I swear.

I'm hoping to get the rest of the levels built in about a week and a half. I'm also setting a tentative goal of June 15th for the first release. I might put out a demo sometime this month, I'll see how things are coming along!

Here's another screenshot showing the cave exit and a couple enemies, and a few new things. You can see a spell, the new fire, and the hud.

I'm currently a touch ahead of my projected schedule! I finished the remaining enemy animations (not their H-animations yet) and I only have one more tile set to go (which I'll definitely finish today). That puts me about 4 days ahead at the moment.

Anyway here's a screenshot of what the sewer levels are going to look like. Note that the torch sprites are simply placeholders, so they'll have animated fire later.
